The Fark "scratchpad" is a thread created to allow the user to test a post without everyone seeing those embarassing mistakes. If you've ever found yourself saying something like, "hey why didn't that work?" or "what's wrong with my image-size?!" this is the place to test settings without exposing your neophytic ignorance to the world at large. It's a great place to see if your new image-host is working or to test a new format for posting photos or even to see if the file you want to post is too big. No one can see your posts except you and the modmins.

I wanted to use it this morning and it took me a while to find it. I see that they've added it as a link in the Farktography FarQ but it's buried in the middle of the article. I figure if I was looking for it and couldn't find it then some of the newer people who aren't even aware it exists might benefit from a link over here.  |
