Midday report, by the numbers:
Total Votes: 2285 (#1 in the past 20 weeks)
Total Farktographers: 120 (outdone recently by shadows at 130, but then you'd have to go back to B&W at 150)
Total Entries: 238 (which does go all the way back to B&W - lot of civic pride here or something)
Pretty nice response! Pretty nice photographs, too! |

I saw "cityscapes" and, as usual, thinking much too literally, figured city skylines, of which I have none. But seeing what's been posted I see the bigger picture, and not only do I have some stuff suitable for this subject, but probably a hundred. But by the time this dawned on me it was way too late to participate.
On the plus side, with the great turnout in both submissions and votes cast, I can't imagine Farktography not re-doing this subject at a later date as a 'classic' subject, and that time I'll be ready to go. |

Wow, I'm flattered my picture of the Golden Gate Bridge won this contest.
That was actualy the "reference shot" of a little photoshop project I'm working on. I went out with my D100 and my 85mm f/1.8 nikkor on a sturdy tripot and took about 100 pictures from the same spot. Now I'm trying to blend them together in photoshop to a 12000x8000 pixel resolution image.
I need more RAM.
Anhow, here is a little detail of the work in progress picture:
