It strikes me that we have more then enough great images to publish a coffee table book. Sure, we'd be limited to people who OK their images usage, but I think we could pull off something cool.
We could either figure out a convulted revenue sharing scheme for any profits or use it to pay for FSM or something. |

Instead of "revenue sharing" which would be enormously complicated, why not donate it to charity? or use it to fund the contributers totalfark |

i would be in favour of this as a group project.
do you mean something like this:
www.http://www.lulu.com/en/products/photo_books/
the photography list group at RIT made one. check it out here:
www.http://www.lulu.com/content/294449
talk of revenue is probably premature (and would get way too messy) since i *think* there would be costs associated with making a book. if entered into with the thought of simply exposing the work beyond fark then it's fine with me. |

Well those internet things are fine and dandy, but I was feeling ambitious and thinking getting a real publisher and trying to sell it. Talk to Drew and see about slapping the Fark logo on it, maybe his publisher would take a chance on it since his book sold well.
We could pick a nice charity. |

| Can we make it so that it has little legs in case you dont have a coffee table? I like the idea though. |

Maybe we could have a contest for "Coffee Table Self Portrait", to have a good "about this photographer" picture for each person?
Or maybe that could be "Photographer with Coffee"?
And then another theme for "Coffee Book Cover".
My idea would be a coffee mug stain on a wood table... |

| If we do this we should see if we could get any of the former farktographers to participate, especially people like veruca and monkeybort who put in time and energy getting farktography going when it was still young. Maybe we could even sucker some of them into competing again. |

I manage a book store and know how difficult the process can be. First, just putting the book together will be a tremendous under taking. Then getting a publisher to want to publish it can be a real problem. That being said, I think it is a great idea. Let's go for it!!!! |

I'd like to think we have a lot of resources between all of us and we can make it happen. |
