Glad you finally got it in there, it's a great photo! The 200kb limit is not exactly set in stone. I've had it reject stuff that was smaller than that and I have had it accept stuff that was exactly 200kb. It's fussy. If you're under 100k, it's pretty much a lock though, so that's what I shoot for. The best strategy I've found is to include a medium sized picture and then beneath it a link to a much larger sized version of the same photo, that way people who want to see all the detail just have to click a link.
I was going to say pretty much what millera9 did--the limit doesn't seem to be exact. I generally shoot for 50k-70k myself. Anything you can do to keep your image sizes as small as possible helps those dialup folks And millera9's also right that that's a great shot--nice first entry!
